Silverdell have been awarded Green Accord Status with Exeter City Council for commitment to the environment. The Green accord is a unique green accreditation scheme working collaboratively with businesses to improve commitment towards sustainability and manage environmental responsibilities more effectively.

The Accord was specifically devised by the Council to help meet the Government's challenging climate change targets by reducing the overall carbon footprint as part of the wider Corporate Social Responsibility agenda.

This accreditation which complements our ISO14001 accreditation helps set us apart from competitors in the South West." The benefits the Green Accord can bring have been recognised by both the public and private sectors and a number of organisations have indicated they would be interested in adopting the scheme, and Silverdell’s commitment is paying dividends.

The Exeter-born scheme which recognises environmentally friendly suppliers looks set to be rolled out across the country.
