Silverdell (UK) Limited have been praised by the BBC after zero-cost encapsulation works create minimal disruption for studio.

Leading Asbestos Removal and Management contractor Silverdell (UK) Limited, has been highly praised, following zero cost asbestos encapsulation works that took place at Middle Park Community Centre in London. The project was managed through the famous ‘Dragons Den team’ for a BBC’s Children in Need.

Silverdell provided support and equipment free of charge as a good will gesture to the Children in Need cause to assist the refurbishment of the community facilities.

Wayne Farmer, Silverdell (UK) Limited Said “We received a call explaining we would need to be onsite at that same time as the film crew, Dragons and celebrity entrepreneurs, keen to make a difference to the local community. The encapsulation work went to plan with minimal disruption as part of the initiative to provide wider local community leisure and social opportunities where none currently exist. We recognize we can make a contribution to improving the quality of life in the community as part of corporate and social responsibility programmes”.

Terry McCartney, Senior Workplace Associate, BBC said: “I have been requested by the BBC Production Team to pass on their thanks to Silverdell PLC for supplying three men plus materials used at zero cost while attending the "BBC Children in Need does Dragon Den" production shoot at Eltham earlier this week.”

He went on to say “It is always reassuring when we can provide help to relieve any anxieties for those BBC Staff and celebrities (The Dragons) when undertaking a production shoot at a location where asbestos had been identified. However, it makes it even more worth-while to know that companies like Silverdell are willing to for-go any costs for such a good and appropriate cause”.
