| Silverdell have been appointed to assist the redevelopment and refurbishment of one of the largest hospital modernisation projects in South Wales. With an estimated value of £1.9 Million, Silverdell will undertake soft stripping demolition works in conjunction with the removal of sprayed coating asbestos removal to structural steel.
Within the package of works, electrical, water supplies and other services may need disconnection whilst the enclosure is live as they serve other areas of the hospital. Silverdell will undertake additional mechanical works as part of our contractual commitments. All works are to be carried out in conjunction with the day to day running of the hospital within a restricted confine of ‘contractors area’. The works are set to continue until 2011 in a phased approach. In addition to Silverdell (UK) Ltd’s competitive tendering, the contract was secured on the client and Trust having the confidence in Silverdell to meet their high standards, expectations and program requirements.
To complement this, recent works have been undertaken near the Home Counties in respect of another major hospital refurbishment with a value of approaching £1.5 Million. Works are due to be completed on this project by the end of 2008.
