We view CSR as being integral to its work philosophy and aims to cultivate social, environmental and economic opportunities through best practice and the continual improvement of the way we trade. We believe it is possible for a business to exist for commercial gain whilst positively affecting the communities in which it operates. Our approach may be divided into five key areas of focus. It is these areas which form the backbone of our existence and to which its ongoing commitment will inevitably underpin its future growth. Having focused on CSR during the past year, Silverdell has acquired a far clearer picture of its social, ethical and environmental programme. We believe considerable progress in a number of areas of its business operations have been made. However, we are fully aware that there is always room for improvement and that there is no place for complacency in the current market environment given the pace of change, and the desire to lead the industry in new technology, methodology and service excellence. In this regard, we acknowledge that the journey is an ongoing one, and we have made a commitment to further define, develop and incorporate our policies into the responsibilities of our business at all levels.
